How can I monitor MLdonkey network activity?

Try [Donitor]. It's not MLdonkey specific, it should work with any eDonkey client.

_well, does it, or doesn't it? did anybody try it? does it need special installation for mldonkey? had a brief look at the website, seems it only likes people with ipchains/tables, or am i wrong._

You may find the [Advanced Routing HOWTO||http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/other-formats/html/Adv-Routing-HOWTO-html.tar.gz] interesting, especially the part about |http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/other-formats/html_single/Adv-Routing-HOWTO.html#LARTC.QDISC. The ADSL bandwith management should be interesting too but I didn't read it yet.

I didn't yet used anything else than the built-in commands to monitor MLdonkey network activity but from what I read Donitor can't really help you to manage the network traffic. But it shows cool graphics :)
