XMule

xMule was a fork of the original lMule project when this latter one died. xMule's only developer has many times said he leaves the project as for the moment (November 2004) xMule is still a (weak) living project. aMule was a fork from xMule and is probably the way to go since xMule's dev is trying to join it.

So, the lain goes down like lMule -> xMule -> aMule

Unhappily, xMule is very little updated with latest's eMule protocol improvements (up to November 2004, xMule's protocol code was up to eMule 0.27a)
