DownloadRateSampling

MLdonkey can display files download speed. Since downloads are quantified (files are received by packets) and that speed varies quickly, it uses sampling and averaging to display a smoothed value:

• download_sample_rate is the time (in second) between two samples
• download_sample_size is the number of samples averaged.

If displayed download speeds changes too often for your taste, you can increase those values to get a smoother result, but this is seldom necessary. On the other hand, you can lower the values (mainly download_sample_size) to get a more accurate picture of instantaneous download speed.
